Baby Shower - part 4 - Favors

Make sure you check out, Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

This one will be about the favors.  This was all my mom (Great job mom!).  She made these cute little pot holders out of an old quilt and towels!  Then we clipped them with binder clips.
My mom made cute little "Bunts" - we had Pumpkin, Apple, Zucchini and Peach - I think there was one other one.  So - we put them in the little oven mints - and said "Bunt in the oven" and then what the flavor was...oh yeah - Banana was the other.

Then remember the cradle I refinished for my daughters 3rd birthday - we wrapped it with a baby blanket - and put the favors in there - cute huh!

So - part of the food -we had a section with a little trial of each of the flavors - so the guests could taste to see which one they wanted.  I made little cards that corresponded.

And then here was the gifts our guests could take home. A selection of items.  We didn't do games - so...how does one win a prize????

There were two guessing games.  Tomorrow you will see the desserts.
  1. There was a diaper cake in the center - so one "game" was guessing the diapers in the cake.
  2. We filled a huge bottle with kisses - you had to guess how many kisses
  3. If you sat at the setting that had a pink plate
  4. Or a pink saucer
  5. Or a pink tea cup
  6. How many bibs

Can't wait till tomorrow when my favorite post goes up - DESSERTS!!!  Stay tuned!

I Heart Faces - Cell Phone Photo

I Heart Faces Cell Phone Challenge

This weeks challenge is to post a picture taken with your cell phone - this is my rock star daughter playing dress up.

Baby Shower - Part 3 - Drinks

If you have checked it out - check out part 1 and part 2 of a Baby Shower.

You can't have a tea party without tea!  Isn't this awesome!  I found it at a thrift store - for $20 - how awesome is that!  And yes - I did serve tea in it.
I had an assortment of teas out.  And - the new tea bags don't have tags!  So - I made my own tags.

Here is the tea station set up - cream, sugar, tea and lemons - too cute!

Here is the other drink section.  I bought a punch bowl from a thrift store for like $5 with about 20 glasses!  On "How Does She" I got printables for the waters.  I had lemonade and pink lemonade, along with sun teas.  Do you see the little cute outfits along the front - cut with my cricut with "new arrivals"

The banner along the top - I re-used from the Super Bowl party - the other side says Happy - I used reversable paper - so the other side was blank - crafty - huh!

Baby Shower - Part 2 - Food!

So - as you know - I co-hosted a shower for my Sister in law and my brother (with the help of my mom and other SIL).  If you missed the other day - please go here for the tablescape.
Ahhh - the food - it was SO YUMMY!!!!!  We had a LOT of food - A lot.  We had tomato soup - I got the recipe from Our Best Bites - here - if you haven't been there - PLEASE GO - amazing amazing food!
We served them in tea cups.  Notice my ugly blue soup spoon to dish out - yeah - should get a cuter one!
This soup is seriously so good!
Do you remember this from my superbowl party - and my tiered cake stand posts.  It never gets old - yummy!
The fruit - oh yummy the fruit.  My mom has this beautiful glas platter that we put everything on.

This was the only shot I could get of the main food setup.  We had crescents and mini breads.  They were each filled with Egg Salad, Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad.  Then we had the trifle dish filled with tortilla chips, and there was artichoke dip.

Then we had hot sandwiches.

There were three types of Panini's - yeah - if you have read before - You know I love them (turkey and veggie, turkey and mustard)

This time I had - Tomato and fresh mozzarella, Cheddar and turkey, and Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella, basil and Herb Goat Cheese.  SO good too!!!!  And dunked in that tomato soup!

There you have it folks - some super yummy foods - I wish I had more close up pictures - but when everything was ready it was ready and people ate.  I had a hard time saying "can you stop so I can get a picture for my blog :)  Enjoy!  Hope you weren't hungry when you were reading this!

Baby Shower - Part 1 - Table Settings

What a successful Baby Shower!!!!!!

Ahhh - the part I like least about parties - all the dishes that come along with it.  This is even on Friday - not the actual day.  I should have taken a picture of all of the dishes washing the china!  That was a lot - but - as you will see - super pretty!

So - for our tea party baby shower - we used a bunch of mis-matched tea sets.  My mom had 2-3 different sets, and I picked up a bunch from thrift stores.
And look at the silverware - they are wrapped in hankies that were my grandma's.  My mom had a ton - it was a really cute addition!
We had three tables set up.  This is my dining room.  We had 2 tea pots one each table, one with hot water for tea - and one with coffee.  There were also cream and sugar - and little bundles of flowers.
Underneath each of the table settings were more hankies as "placemat's".

Here is another table set up.  It is using an old quilt as the tablecloth.

 Some of the flower centerpieces.

Here is the third table - this is my kitchen table - another quilt was used as the tablecloth.  This was the center of the table - a hot water, coffee, flowers and nuts.
Another place setting - don't they look so cute!
Overall it was a great party!!!  Stay tuned for the rest of the week.  I will be posting the favors, food, dessert and drinks this week.  OH - my favorite is the desserts - wait till you see that one!!!  SO Cute - and SO yummy!!!!!
